About the Celebration

Here is complete information about the rededication celebration. But this is just one of the many celebrations of our beloved bridge, going on all year, all over Clatsop County. For more info, check out our Upcoming Events page, and be sure to ‘Like’ our Facebook page for all the latest!

Rededication Ceremony and Bridge Crossing

  • On August 13, 2016, we will start the celebration at Maritime Memorial Park, in Uniontown. The rededication ceremony begins at 9:00am, and will feature several people who were involved with the building of the bridge, as well as dignitaries from around the world.*

Following the rededication of the bridge, the Astoria Clowns and other dignitaries will cross the bridge into Washington, then will travel the span back into Astoria.

They will then head downtown to participate in the highlight event of the oldest festival west of the Rockies, the 2016 Astoria Regatta Grand Land Parade.

For more information about the many Regatta events following the parade, like Regatta Square and the Highwater Boat Parade, visit the Official Regatta Website.
